Legally Blonde

Directed and Choreographed by Chris Carter. Assistant Directed and Assistant Choreographed by Tucker Tab DeGregory.

“‘For me, and for them too, I think they’re telling this story of themselves as college student seniors going to grad school, which is many of these students,’ Carter said. ‘So this story is a very relatable story, and it makes it easier on me as the director-choreographer because you just ask them questions and get to truly collaborate on this project. They get to use parts of their today and yesterday to tell a story.’ … As opening night approaches, Carter said his main hope for the audience is that they will have fun. ‘I’m looking forward for people to come and experience a show that’s not a typical show put on at Northwestern,’ Carter said. ‘This is not your normal, super-dramatic show. It’s fun, it’s pop-y, it’s today. It’s a fresh take on a modern musical.’”

A Chorus Line

“Kurt Domoney, a New York-based director, choreographer and company member of the 2007 Broadway revival of "A Chorus Line," helms the iconic musical …”

“Domoney said he hopes the audience will ask why the show is relevant now, as the show, he said, is a call to action. The arc of the ensemble of dancers, once referred to as chorus boys and girls, give a voice to the voiceless, he said.

‘It’s about truly what it means to be on a line and cross lines of comfortability in our work, to really put yourself out there for something you love,’ Domoney said. ‘There is an element that all we have is borrowed time to do these things we are passionate about.’”

Something In The Game

"Directed and expertly choreographed once again by the masterful David H. Bell, this production couldn’t be more professional, heartfelt and entertaining. He’s extracted some superb performances from his cast and choreographed the show with athleticism."
— from Colin Douglas's review in the Chicago Theatre Review

"The musical is beautifully directed and choreographed in myriad ways: the football scrimmages, bar fight scenes, dance numbers are an absolute delight, as are the songs."
